Who does the extractions?

A general discussion about hair restoration.

Who does the extractions?

Postby ptgold » Fri Dec 07, 2007 6:49 am

Dr. Cole,
As I have read, the extraction of the follicles in the FIT procedure is just as important or more important than the incisions made in the donor area. I have read that at many clinics assistants do the extractions and the head doctor does the incisions. Is this also the case with IHTI?
Thank you

who cares what they do at other clinics. they don't have any results despite offering their so called FUE procedures for over 5 years now. Don't worry about what we do. We produce results. That's what matters. Other clinics talk about what is done in their clinics to distinguish themselves because they don't have results to distinguish themselves. Ask yourself. "Do I want some physician doing my procedure who has almost no results what so ever in the past 5 years" Do I want a guy who distinguishes himself on what he does that may be different from another clinic yet has produced no results in 5 years."

Who cares what these clinics do? If you are comfortable getting a hair transplant from a clinic that produces no results yet scares you into coming to them, then you should have your head examined.

Thanks for the question. I am a physician that works with Dr. Cole and I am also a patient that suffers from hairloss.

As you can see, Dr. Cole is very passionate about hair restoration surgeries, especially FIT, a technique which he pioneered.

Many clinics throughout the world use different methods for their FUE procedures. Some try to use the "physician does everything" approach as a marketing tactic for their procedures. But the truth lies in the results. Because it is the consistency of results that you as a patient should use to judge a cosmetic surgeon. You will find that the clinic that is open and honest about patient results is the clinic that has nothing to hide because they have a proven methodology for success.

If you do become a patient here with The Cole Group, you will see first hand how we operate. You will get to know everyone involved in your care, and once you experience FIT with a group that has proven results, questions like the one you asked will become secondary. Instead, you will be focused on obtaining the best result for your type of hair loss (ie. questions about hairline design, donor area re-charging with FIT farming, on going hair health maintenance, etc.)

Hope this helps,

Jay Darji, M.D.

Taking care of patients is good!

I am glad to know that the surgery is taken seriously at IHTI. I understand that some clinics don't have even one physician physically in the clinic while assistants are conducting operations.
