i Havnt had much luck - but yes, many believe it still can help the front just not as effectively as the crown. The study with minox was only conducted on the crown and therefore the direction state only on the crown. Hope this helps...

hmmm....not really to be perfectly honest. I was on all sorts of stuff - including tons of herbal supplements and stuff, folligen spray, etc. I got fed up and now I am only on the following.

propecia 1.25mg every other day
minox 5%2x daily
Nizoral shampoo 2% every other day

dont expect much from the nioxin products other than a decent shampoo.

no - there have been some recent studies that the drug in Nizoral - Keto - is a mild anti androgen, very mild, but nonetheless has shown some (minimul) increased hair counts in subjects. My opinion is the Nizoral provides an optimum environment on the scalp especially if you are using minox which can be irritating.

hope this helps

the nizoral should be used by itself when showering and you should leave it in for about 5 min. don't use any other products after. you should only use Niz about once every 3 days. it can dry out hair so have a good moisterizing shampoo for the off days and conditioner.

Honestly, I would drop the Nioxin products after your done using them unless your okay with the price.

Hair Loss and psychologic conditions

Postby forhair » Sat Dec 03, 2005 7:05 pm

im using propecia too, but sometimes i dont think that even works as well...but it could jus be me....and its so expensive...

Bare in mind that the effect of using propecia is not always visual...Propecia can show no results in terms of growth but still prevent further acceleration of hair loss in the background.
I know some HLS that stop taking Propecia or Avodart Because the lack of results and during their next year after lost more hair then they should with the meds.
do you believe that psychological stuff that people say, if you think your loosing hair, you'll actually loose it?

This subject always fascinated me...i have never got a professional answer to this question although i think that psychologic and hair loss have a relationship.
Think about your skin and hair when you really got scared in a horror movie...skin and hair always reacting to emotions.
For an example I know some girl that had someone close die recently(knock on wood 3 times), she become depressed and she slowly looked older and her hair lost caliber from it.
I think that it is a good question that no one really touch and i would like to hear more opinions.

answer is no - unless you use high heat and blow dry for hours on end. You might see hairs falling out whenyou use it, but those hairs would come out if you brushed your hair as well or ran your hand through it. They were gonna come out anyhow. At least thats my take on it.
